Kontakt GUI Maker empowers users to design and develop instruments for Native Instruments' Kontakt sampler without needing any coding knowledge. Through an intuitive, drag-and-drop interface, users can visually arrange control elements on the screen, adjust their properties, and assign actions to create interactive functionalities. When the design is ready, simply click the compile button to test it within a pre-configured Kontakt instrument, which includes sixteen sample layers (groups), along with essential effects, modulation routing, filters, and equalizers. The tool includes a factory library of 200 royalty-free knobs, switches, and background images, usable in both personal and commercial Kontakt projects. Users can also import custom PNG images through drag-and-drop. Kontakt GUI Maker currently supports around 260 "actions" that can be assigned to control elements to manipulate various instrument functions, such as toggling effects, switching panels, adjusting equalizers, controlling volume envelopes, and triggering keyswitches. Each control item can have up to five unique actions and is customizable in terms of position, color, labeling, and automation. Knob scaling curves can be adjusted individually for precise control, allowing for inverted or custom behaviors. Additionally, Kontakt GUI Maker includes access to over 25 pre-configured Kontakt effects. For instance, you can assign a reverb action to a knob, and once compiled, that knob will directly control the reverb level in the Kontakt instrument—making it a game-changer for instrument designers.
